1. As part of 'Earth Day' celebrations an interclass poster making competition was arranged between nine sections of Class-VIII. Each section was provided a sheet measuring \( 75 cm \times 40 cm \) for making the poster.
(i) Find the total area of sheet provided to the students. Express the area in exponential form.
Solution
\[ \begin{align*} Length & = 75 \ cm\\ Breadth & = 40 \ cm\\ \text{Area of the sheet} & = Length \times Breadth \\ & = 75 \times 40 \\ & = 3000 \, cm^2 \\ \\ \text{Total area of 9 sheets} & = 3000 \times 9 \\ & = 27000 \, cm^2 \\ & = (30)^3 \, cm^2 \end{align*} \]
Answer \( \color{red} (30)^3 \, cm^2 \)
(ii) Write any two ways by which you can save earth.
